I feel I am the wedding paparazzi when I am around this family because I photograph them so much!! I first met them last year when Josh’s sister Sarah got married! Both of them were in the wedding party! Does anyone remember Celeste & Dan’s wedding from April? Well, they are a friend of this family. In September, I have the priviledge of shooting Megan’s sister’s wedding!! Everytime I see this couple I am shooting them in a wedding!! How flippin’ cool is that??? I was so lucky to be a part of their special day!! They got married in Chilhowie, VA and had their reception at Josh’s parent’s home in Glade Springs! Meet Tyler & Kelsey Minton!! They were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the property of Allandale Mansion. Their entire wedding party was just a blast to work with! A huge photo-bonus was the umbrella’s that the girls had! They look fantastic in pictures!! The Byington’s {husband & wife}

I just love these two! Mandi is a local photographer and a regular client of mine. I’ve photographed her beautiful family many times….but never like this! We did this session of her (in her wedding dress) and her hubby at their old high school!! They are baseball fans as well….so we did them at VHS’s baseball field! I love when 2 people have been married for a few years and are still in love as they were on their wedding day (and lemme tell ya….these two ARE)!! I’m all about uniquness, so I was all for this husband & wife session! Check out these two love birds…..

Ryleigh {6months}

Last week I did a 6 month session for a future Miss America! Little Miss Ryleigh has already won a local pagent and was sent to Ohio where she won “Most Photogenic” out of contestents all the way up to 45 years of age! I can’t say that I disagree with that title! She is absolutely gorgeous! I mean….just look at her….

LaToya + Jeff

If I had to make a list of my all-time favorite couples, LaToya and Jeff would be one of the tops on my list!! I got to spend 2 hours with them during their engagement shoot and we laughed….ALOT!! We started on the streets of downtown Johnson City and then headed over to campus! We all three walked down memory lane at good ol’ ETSU! We even stopped by Jeff’s old fraternity bench for some shots. These two are just full of life and love and it just bursts out of them. The 2 hours we had together fleeeeew by and boy did I capture some great moments!! They are getting married on September 3, 2011 and I cannot WAIT to capture their wedding day!

I’m so excited to introduce these newlyweds!!! Chris is my brother-in-law and I couldn’t be happier for him and Danielle. They were married last week in a simple, but very sweet ceremony at the Allandale Pavilion. I wish them a lifetime of all the happiness in the world! Welcome to the family Danielle!!

Expecting Owen

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this family who was referred by some previous clients! They are such a super cute family and I cannot WAIT for baby Owen to arrive!!! They let me experiement with them by allowing me to take them to a place that I’ve never seen or shot at before in Fall Branch! It turned out to be UHHHH-Mazing and I will definitely be shooting there again!! I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves (stay tuned in the next month or so for pictures of Owen)!

Gage Newborn

As as I have already stated before, I’m starting to do a lot of baby sessions these days! I was very excited to meet Mr. Gage who was only a few weeks old! I used a few of my props and hats on him that I haven’t gotten a chance to use before! One great thing about photography, is that it takes me all over the place. I traveled all the way up to the Natural Tunnel area for this session! I had not been up that far before, but it was a beautiful drive! I loved how this session turned out….espcially with the bunny outfit! It was made by Children’s Bowtique up in Weber City. You can check out her facebook page ——>HERE. Logan Newborn

Other than weddings, babies are getting to be one of the most common sessions that I shoot! I’m not going to lie… when I first started my business about 2 years ago, babies scared me to death! Well, not the babies themselves, but what I was going to do with them during their sessions terrified me. I quickly learned that it is WAY easier to get shots of babies when they are sleeping, but that is not always the case. When I learned that I would be doing a lot of baby session I decided I needed to vamp things up a little. After I bought some cute little props and read A LOT about photographing & positioning newborns I felt WAY better about babies!!! No two babies are the same though so I have to pick and choose what props to use for each session. Some babies are sound sleepers and I can very easily mold them, but others want to stay WIDE awake during the session! I’m still learning to work with both scenarios, but I can honestly say that I’m not longer scared to shoot babies (well…with my camera). Little Logan was one of the babies who didn’t want to miss anything so he decided to stay awake the entire session, but I still got some great shots! I used to work with Angela and was so excited when she contacted me after Logan was born. He was just about 10 days old when we did this session and booooy is he a cutie!!! Angela and Byron are first time parents and they are just too precious! Congratulations you two! Here are a few favs from Logan’s session…..

The McDowell Family

This family was full of smiles and fun! No need for me to tell you though….you can see it written all over their faces. This makes the fifth time that I’ve shot by the covered bridge in Elizabethon and I just love it! It’s a beautiful place to shoot and has lots of beautiful trees and water!
